Entrepreneur Program

 

The Jacksonville Urban League is committed to working collaboratively to improve the economic climate for small business, particularly minority owned firms throughout the Duval and Surrounding Counties. These resources include, but are not limited to education sessions, coaching, source expert engagement, access to capital and opportunities for business expansion.  Activities and tasks include outreach events, group training, individualized sessions, business and strategy planning, and service evaluation. 

Group Education, Financial/Credit Literacy and Technical Assistance:    

Providing consultation services that equip small business owners with the skills to grow their business.  The sessions may include: management (accounting, legal, risk management, marketing, human resources, leadership development), access to market (B2B, procurement roundtables, matchmakers events) and access to capital (alternative loan strategies, micro loans, equity investments); credit counseling and repair for small business owners; financial literacy and education.   

Individual Education, Financial/Credit Literacy and Technical Assistance:               

Provide consultation services that equip small business owners with the skills to grow their business.  Each individual session may include: individualized consultation regarding accounting, legal, risk management, marketing, human resources, leadership development, public relations; credit counseling and repair for small business owners; financial literacy and education; access to capital, including alternative sources of capital.

Outreach:                                               

Provide events that are aligned with community engagement strategies.  Events may include summits, workshops and B2B sessions.
