The Jacksonville Urban League has been committed to “Empowering Communities and Changing Lives” since its conception in 1947 to enable African Americans and others to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power, and civil rights. As an affiliate of the National Urban League we have made progress, however vast inequalities remain. We are addressing these needs through our Centers of Advocacy and Social Justice, Education/Career Development & Workforce Services and Economic Empowerment.
