Center for Education, Career Development and Workforce Services

The Center is a multi-service level community-based program service center committed to empowering children, youth, adults, veterans, and seniors through a holistic approach using essential tools and resources necessary to empower them to succeed in life. The center partners with local community-based organizations, employers, apprenticeship programs (local and national) colleges, and universities to offer a set of comprehensive educational, training and job placement services to be equipped for 21st century employment.

Academic Cultural Enrichment Youth Leadership Academy (ACE)

The ACE program provides employment opportunities for youth ages (16 to 21) to develop constructive work habits, positive attitude, and the valuable job skills necessary to enter the workforce prepared and qualified to be productive employees. The JUL serves as a network of mentors who assist youth in preparing them for a successful program as well as a prosperous career in the workforce. Youth will complete an orientation and training sessions designed to prepare them on what to expect in the “World of Work.”

 Youth Leadership Core Competencies Project (YLCCP)

The YLCCP is a collaboration between youth ages (10-15), parents, mentors, higher learning institutions (colleges, trade schools, universities, apprenticeship programs, investors and a host of community organizations and partners) that work together collectively to equip youth with the knowledge, skills and ability needed to achieve success in their life endeavors. 

 After School and Summer Camp Program

The Afterschool and Summer Program provide a range of high-quality academic and cultural enrichment activities designed to support students’ learning and development. These activities reinforce and complement students’ regular academic program during non-school hours. 

 

Community Partnership Program:

The Career Development program facilitates career transition workshops, online training, and course curriculums designed to enhance participants careers with skills development tools. Curriculums include but are not limited to “Your Career: How to Make It Happen.” This curriculum provides immediate access to the importance of career exploration and employment preparation for those preparing to enter the workforce for the first time, those returning to the workforce and for transitioning from one career to the next.

The Center is committed to providing the tools and support necessary to help local and out of state employers with their business needs. We are dedicated to assist in the following areas:
